Episode 21: Brewery Conversations with Dermott Hutton owner of Firehall Brewery
Tuesday Apr 02, 2019
Tuesday Apr 02, 2019
In this episode, Jonathan and Damien pack up their mic's and take the Spilling the Truth on the road to meet with their friend Dermott Hutton, owner of Firehall Brewery in Oliver, British Columbia. Firehall Brewery is considered "The Beer of Wine Country" as they are the only brewery located in the heart of Canada's wine growing region. They make a variety of artisan beers including "The Hoser" and the trio have a chance to enjoy that along with few of the brewery's limited released while recording. There are a few funny interruptions, being that this was not recorded in the studio, as the guys discuss everything from how Firehall got its start and their barrel aging programs to Canadian's love of Celene Dion. This is a great look into the Canadian craft beer industry and it was a lot of fun to record.
